Rahma Foundation USA started its operation in 2010 with a noble mission of helping the poor talented orphans of Bangladesh. Unfortunately, later on it became a money making opportunity for a few selfish employees who started to ignore the Foundation’s original goals and objectives.
The current illegal board is collecting donations by hiding many project failures and thus misleading the donors.
HIDDEN FACTS:
Significant financial mismanagement, admitting poor students based on favoritism and hiring inexperienced teachers resulted in poor quality of education.
FOR MANY YEARS THE SCHOOL HAD A PRINCIPAL BY NAME ONLY. HE WAS NOT OPERATING THE SCHOOL BY STAYING ON CAMPUS AND HARDLY VISITED THE SCHOOL.
(UPDATE: The long time principal recently left the school because of ongoing corruption behind his back)
The fundraiser and the acting principal falsified the expense reports to steal large sums of money from the project.
THE ACTING PRINCIPAL LACKS PROPER ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE QUALIFICATIONS BUT ENJOYS FULL BENEFITS & AUTHORITY.

THE SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEE WAS SETUP BY NAME ONLY. PROMINENT BOARD MEMBERS LIKE MUFTI QAZI IBRAHIM, MANJUR ILAHI & OTHERS WITHDREW BECAUSE THEIR NAMES WERE BEING USED TO JUSTIFY ALL WRONGDOINGS.
In the USA, the fundraiser controls everything by illegally placing his own friends in the Rahma Foundation board.
The original constitution does not allow any paid employee to become a board member. (article 4.3 ). The fund raiser, who keeps 15% of the pledge for himself, wants to control the organizatioal affairs by claiming a self declared membership in the board. Recently he appointmented himself as the vice president of Rahma Foundation.
The fund raiser has a strong interest in providing benefits to his friends and relatives who supervised the school activities that involved large expenses (such as school building construction, land purchase , land fill work, boundary walls and other major works) . Many of these decisions were hidden from the original board.
Fund raiser has hidden the following issues of the project:
a. A declining academic standard in the school (only 2 students got A+ out of 7 during the nationwide public tests in December 2017). None received A+ in the SSC board examinations in 2019 and 2020.
Due to poor academic achievements, Rahma Foundation school became an inferior school while the nearby government schools are better and free of cost.
The fund raiser took the following decisions without involving the original and legal Rahma Foundation board:
- He constructed a boundary wall around the adjacent private land using Rahma Foundation Funds.
- He constructed his own private home on campus using the school funds. He allowed the acting principal to use school reserve funds (~$32, 000 USD) for the construction of his own home on campus.
- He donated a large sum of Foundation money to a mosque in his village and local road projects.
- He donated Rahma Foundation funds for causes in USA that were not directly related to objectives of the organization (this is completely against the Texas Attorney General’s guidelines).
5. He authorized expenses such as daily free meals of the teachers including all of their dependents.
6. He authorized acting principal to modify the school building design to construct a large residential flat for himself.
7. He authorized installing unnecessary decorating globe lights on the boundary walls.
8. He invited hundreds of village people for a lavish meal in the name of local committee and Advisory board meeting.
In February 2018, Rahma president called for a board meeting to discuss the irregularities. Suspecting many issues would point fingers to the fundraiser, he cancelled the meeting and changed the locks of Rahma office in Irving, Texas. In addition, he announced a new board to take over the organization without a due election.
